Big well preserved wooden beams from 1 century AD in the ancient Roman town of Serdika probably from the barracks of the warriors of the Roman legions were found in August 2012 at the center of Sofia, Bulgaria.
The leading archaeologist claimed this new found artifact showed there had not been at all a Thracian town under the today’s capital of Bulgaria as it had been believed till now but there was just a Roman town.
