Bulgaria ranked sixth place as a developing tourist destination for adventure tourism
Bulgaria ranked sixth place of ten places as a developing tourist destination for adventure tourism in 2010.
First was Israel, second Slovakia, third Chile, forth Estonia, fifth Czech Republic.
The 3rd annual Adventure Travel Development Index (ADTI), http://www.adventureindex.travel, ranked 195 countries,
giving a score to each one signifying its potential for adventure tourism based on ten factors including infrastructure, safety, sustainability policies, natural resources and adventure activity resources.
The Adventure Travel Trade Association of the USA reported in a study.
The study of the American association said Bulgaria was a rich of monuments and artifacts from the time of the old Thracians and Romans and other cultural, historic and architectural sites and objects.
Bulgaria was estimated as suitable for adventure tourism both in summer and winter seasons.
The study was made by 315 tour operators, experts, hotel managers and journalists.
