The Thracian Horseman god Heros in Perperikon
The marble bas-relief of the Thracian Horseman god Heros, which has been found in Perperikon,
proves that there had been the biggest sanctuary in the Balkans, namely the Temple of Dionysus.
The archaeologist Nikolay Ovcharov said so on 30 of August 2011 as he presented that valuable finding.
Right on the marble piece one sees the image of the Thracian Horseman god Heros who was greeted by his wife goddess.
